Introduction:

 Paul (Dub P) is the”Cheeky Chappie” who is always up for a giggle. His believes that music is much more than being a good song, its about being in a time and a place and the message the listener gets from it.

Background:

 London born to Caribbean parents, Dub P came from the school of hard knocks but his family kept him grounded and their love of different music genres has inspired him to become the DJ he is today. Dub P grew up listening to radio presenters like Greg Edwards, David Rodigan, Tony Blackburn, and the late great Steve Walsh and has close links with presenters from some of the top soul radio stations in the UK.

Music Styles:

In simplistic terms, Dub P plays the music he grew up with. As an eighties party animal, he embraced genres like Soul, Fun, Funk, Rnb, Gospel, and Rare Groves to name a few, but he has been known to become unleashed and show his love for dance music like Hip Hop, Garage, Jungle and more,

Career Highlights:

 Trevor Nelson, Tony Rodrigues, Ronnie Herel, Boy George, Felix the House the Housecat are some of the DJs the Dub P has supported in his career and meeting artists like Prince, Luther Vandross, George Benson, Frank McComb, and Patrice Rushen has left him feeling very blessed indeed.

Signature Events:

 Dub P has been a resident DJ at a St Helier venue bringing his unique style of Ol’ Skool flavours as well as performing at numerous private and corporate functions. One of the founders of Souledoutci and No.2 to Dapper Don, he is constantly looking at ways to keep the station fresh and giving the listeners what they want.
